Re-inventing?

Photo shoot during KC event with my colleagues Beth and Travis

I was asked recently if I was re-inventing myself. They had been reading my recent social media posts and articles and were thinking I am doing something different with my work. In one way yes, I am doing things a bit differently. In another, no. I’m still me.

I am re-inventing one piece of my work, yes. I decided to continue to invest in my coaching and speaking. I took a huge leap and attended a weekend intensive in early April. It was a huge financial and time commitment.

This leap pushed me out of my comfort zone and into writing more and putting myself out there in the social media universe. I usually shy away from social media. I’m pushing myself to actually show the world who I am as a facilitator, coach, speaker, and human.

This leap continues to be uncomfortable.

I never viewed myself as a writer and still don’t at times. However I do love working with smart, fun, ambitious professionals that want to enjoy their worlds more. I want to share the strategies and lessons I’ve learned through life and the type of work I’ve done, that means putting myself out there more. I guess I can do it even though it is totally terrifying.

In honor of re-invention, taking leaps out of our comfort zones, of being brave and terrified at the same time, June is JUST DO IT JUNE.

We will be reviewing strategies to find energy and refreshment, gain an openness to new opportunities, and do it. Whatever “do it” is for you; new career, job, business, ministry, hobby, friends, home, or mindset.

On the other side of the question, have I re-invented myself, no, not really. I’ve been coaching groups and individuals for years. I’ve been facilitating retreats and sessions for various leader and professional groups and I love all of it. Helping my clients gain new insights and ah-ha moments is a total joy for me.
